The Lady Comet Bowlers of Red and White from Hanover-Horton took on the Lady Comet Bowlers of Orange and Black from Jonesville Tuesday. The Hanover-Horton Ladies consisted of Abby Barba, Arianna Uhl, Brooke Hadley, Charlie Worden, Liz Curry and Sophia Donders. Both teams started strong in the baker games, though Hanover fell short by 29 pins in the first baker. The Hanover ladies came out fighting in the second baker and even though they fell 19 pins short of Jonesville, they bowled their best baker game of the season with a 153 along with their best baker set this season with a total of 273. During the regular games, the team was led by Abby Barba 155 and 157 (312 series), Sophia Donders 149 and 159 (308 series), and Charlie Worden with a season best of 122 (208 series). The battle between the 2 teams of Comets ended with Jonesville on top 28-2. Though the team was defeated, Coach Matthew is proud of the Hanover-Horton Lady Comets for the improvements they are making each match. Their record is now 3-3. Their next match is Friday, January 12th versus Napoleon at Suburban Lanes.
