The Comets of Hanover-Horton bowled the Trojans of Homer on Tuesday. The Comets consisting of Joe Davis, Grant Cure, Gabe O Connor, Cooper Donders and Noah DeKamp.  The Comets started sluggish in both bakers but finished strong winning both bakers 167-134 and 157-148…up 10-0 after bakers the Comets struggled to put the Trojans away winning only 3 points in the regular games and losing the match 13-17.  Led by Joe Davis 221-181,Grant Cure 157-183.  Next up is  Napoleon at Jax 60 on Thursday for a makeup match due to weather postponement.

The Lady Comets of Hanover-Horton faced off against the Lady Trojans of Homer on Tuesday. The Comets consisting of Abby Barba, Liz Curry, Sophie Donders, Brooke Hadley, Arianna Uhl, and Charlie Worden knew this would be a tough match after the previous win against Homer that came down to the very end of the match in December. The Lady Comets started off the bakers strong neck-in-neck with Homer, falling short of the Trojans by 4 pins. The second baker, Homer was able to string some marks together to take the bakers and totals giving them a 10 point lead on the Comets. While the Trojans were able to secure the win in the first regular game, Coach Matthew is proud of the determination, positivity, and teamwork that they showed throughout the match. They never gave up all the way to the end. The Comets were led by Abby Barba 125 and 168 (293 series), Sophie Donders 141 and 139 (280 series), and Arianna Uhl 125. The final score had Homer on top 22.5-7.5 giving the Comets a record of 6-7 on the season. The Lady Comets will next take on Napoleon at Jax 60 on Thursday.
