The JV lady comets traveled to Skyline High School on Saturday. Finishing first place in pool starting with Livonia Churchill 25-11 25-9, Jackson Northwest 25-5 25-7, and Walled Lake 25-9 25-14. By playing so well in pool play they ended 1st out of 16 teams. The comets beat Woodhaven 25-23 25-11 in the quarterfinals and Huron 25-9 24-16 in the semifinals. The finals came down to Skyline and Hanover. First set went to the Comets 25-14, Skyline came back strong winning the second set 25-22. Going into the third and final set Hanover pulled off the win 15-13. Maddie Jordon had a great day leading with 27 kills and 19 aces. Maggie Soper and Brynn deGlee both had 20 kills for the day. Molly Soper and Quinn Knoblauch led the team with many assists. Halee Krage also led with 11 digs. 

So many great plays were made throughout the day. Looking forward to a great season. Congratulations ladies! 

 

The volleyball teams will be traveling to Homer on Tuesday and Grass Lake on Thursday. Come out and cheer on these girls!
