The Comet boys and girls wrestling were busy this weekend.  The girls went to Ovid-Elsie on Friday.  Junior Drew Swihart brought home a 3rd place finish, in a very tough weight class.  Freshman Rory Birch got her first pin of the season.  The boys traveled to Howell for a make-up tournament where senior David Fielder went 3-0, and sophomore AJ Fielder went 2-0.  Sophomores Ludwig Commer and Reed Matthew went 2-1.  And sophomore Mason Floros went 1-2.  On Saturday, the girls and a few of the boys traveled to Holt.  Drew was able to bring home a 2nd place finish and Ludwig was a tournament champion.  Junior Tucker McDowell, sophomore Isaac Mosley, and freshmen Levi Bradley and Cayden Eddy were able to get some wins and bring home 4th place finishes.  The rest of the boys team were at Grass Lake, where David recorded his 140th win and took 1st, and AJ Fielder took 2nd.

The team is at home this Wednesday, Jan 31st at 5:30, for our last meet of the season, where the Comets take on Napoleon.  Come out and support the wrestlers.
