The Girls Middle School track team competed at the Grass Lake relays, facing tough competition but the Lady Comets rose to the challenge. Bella Crabtree and Jaila Stephens secured 1st place in Shot put, Georgia and Ava placed second in high jump, Ava and McKinzie finished 3rd in Pole vault, and the Long Jumpers Taylor and Brynn took second place.

 The Shuttle Hurdles team of Carly Boyk, Taylor Dick, Georgia Addleman, and Braelynn finished 2nd, while the 2-mile relay team of Collins Deglee, Carly Boyk, Ellie Swihart, and Maisey Toteff secured 3rd place. The mile relay team, consisting of Collins, Mckinzie, Ellie, and Maisey, fought hard and finished second. The Grass Lake SMR girls finished just behind first place in a strong performance, with Ava Smith, Maisey Toteff, Collins Deglee, and Braelynn Miller making up the team. The next track meet is on Monday, May 6th at Jonesville, with field events starting at 4:30 and running events at 5:00. Supporters are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Lady Comets as they aim for victory.

Tonight the Boy's Middle School Track team competed at the Grass Lake Relays. 

Leading off the meet with Field events were Lowry and Jurasek winning the long jump followed by Harris and Herendeen winning High Jump. Ford and Griffis finished second in high jump and GLover and Mercer were 4th in shot put. 

For running events, the team of Pond, Poegel, Keeler and Hocter finished first in Shuttle Hurdles. The team of Marshall, Herendeen, Hassenzahl, and Harris finished first in the 4 X 800m relay. This was followed by a school record performance by Lowry, Federow, Pond and Hocter of 1:42.4 finishing 2nd in the 4 X 200m Relay. The team of Cook, Swihart, Beach and Cottrell finished 3rd in the 4 X 400 Relay. The team of Griffis, Dubois, Johnson and Keeler came in 4th in the 4 X 100m Relay. Following this Dubois and Johnson along with Jurasek and Cook came in 3rd in the Sprint Medley Relay. Finishing the night for the boys, Lowry, Hassenzahl, Cottrell and Hocter came in second in the Grass Lake Relay.

Overall it was a great night for the team and we look forward to our last conference meet on Monday at Jonesville.
