The Lady Comets took on the Lady Jayhawks on Monday. The Hanover-Horton Comets consisted of Abby Barba, Liz Curry, Sophie Donders, Arianna Uhl, and Charlie Worden. While the final score had the Comets on top with total of 25.5-4.5, it does not quite depict just how close the match was. The Lady Jayhawks are a shorthanded team of talented ladies, and while the Comets started with 5 bowlers, they lost one during the regular games due to a scheduling conflict. Throughout the first game the Lady Comets were having a hard time getting marks; getting a team combined 3 marks in the first 4 frames. This aided in keeping scores and totals between the two teams rather close throughout the game. Toward the end of the game, the Comets were able to finally put a few strikes and spares together to ultimately secure the win. The Comets were led by Sophia Donders 156 and 190 (246 series) and Charlie Worden 130 (233 series). This win puts them at a record of 8-9 on the season. The Lady Comets next face the Trojans of East Jackson on Tuesday.
