The Lady Comet Bowlers of Hanover-Horton took on Columbia Central on Tuesday. The Comets consisting of Abby Barba, Liz Curry, Sophie Donders, Brooke Hadley, Arianna Uhl, and Charlie Worden started the match off strong putting up a season best baker game for the Comets with a 165 to the Golden Eagles' 144. Unfortunately, the strong sparing that the ladies had in the first baker faded away a little bit in the second baker allowing the score to fall below the Golden Eagles score by 16 pins. The Lady Comets did have enough pinfall to grab the totals, though, giving themselves a score of 6 to the Golden Eagles' 4 going into the regular games. In the regular games, the Comets fought tough and kept the Golden Eagles in their sights all the way to the end of the match. Sadly, the ladies from Columbia Central were able to secure 3 match points and totals from the first game and all of the points from the second. Gave the Golden Eagles the win with a final score of 22-8. The Comets were led by Sophia Donders 179 and 135 ( 314 series), Brooke Hadley with a season best game of 146 (245 series), and Abby Barba 129 (253 series). This gives the Lady Comets a record of 7-8 on the season.
